Improving Learning Environment at Al Jazeera Academy (Secondary)

James Batts (Head of Secondary School at Al Jazeera Academy) is currently leading the Secondary staff team on a drive to improve the quality of classroom and corridor displays. He is pleased with vibrant student response to this project.

Mr Batts emphasises that ‘High-quality displays are key to and can significantly support learning. By giving more ownership and responsibility to students there will be greater interest and respect.’

‘A positive learning environment truly encourages students to take pride in their work,’ the Secondary Head adds.

Ms Samira Rokadia, Deputy Head of Secondary, along with members of the Primary team, is working hand in hand with him.

Below is a collage of bulletin boards and displays along AJA corridors. A good number of corridor displays were student-initiated.
