Qatar’s Future Teachers

Qatar’s Future Teachers

Ta’allum students from Al Maha Boys and Al Jazeera Academies are making their final preparations and putting the finishing touches to their lessons as part of the Student Teacher Programme.

The Student Teacher Programme reaches its high point this Wednesday March 6th when students from across Qatar will attend the conference and deliver their lessons to fellow pupils.

The scheme which has been initiated by Dr Saleh, Principal of Doha Secondary School, is attracting national attention and will be attended by representatives of the MoE. It is intended to promote and encourage Qatari students to consider teaching as a future career and chimes with the nation’s commitment to the Emir’s 2030 Vision for which ‘Education’ is the driving force.

On Sunday, representatives from Ta’allum were greeted by Dr Saleh to discuss the arrangements. Dr Mohammed Saefan, Director of Education commented ‘this is an excellent leadership opportunity for our students which will serve to raise the level of respect and appreciation of the teachers’ skills and the complex interactions which take place every day in every classroom. We wish our students the best of success’ .
